The Chinese were preserving and salting pork bellies around 1500BC

Cows were first domesticated for beef in the regions of Greece and Turkey about 4,000 years ago.

A sheep cannot get up from laying on its back.

Our Meat

Quality Meat

Over the past 20 years we have forged close working relationships with regional farmers and suppliers, enabling us to be at the pinnacle of the butchery industry in terms of the products we supply and the processes we follow at every stage of production.

We genuinely care about animal welfare and understand the importance of reducing stress to the animal at every stage. Whether that be through minimising the live miles of the animal, to the final processing we go above and beyond the DEFRA guidelines to ensure animal welfare at all times.

We are very fortunate to have two very strong family abattoirs, Humphreys and C & K Meats based within a 35 mile radius of Knights Farm. Other fine quality meat is also sourced from other prominent regional abattoirs – all we know and trust with their provenance too.

The revered ‘Dingley Dell Pork’ based in Suffolk are a pork supplier, whilst our poultry is supplied by award winning ‘Creedy Carver’ based in Devon, who specialise in free range poultry . Our lamb is bred and raised locally and offers provenance with passion. We work closely with superb local game supplier Ben Rigby, enabling us to be at the forefront of a supply chain of true provenance and are proud to know where all our meat has been raised, slaughtered and processed.
