Direct Meats supplies hotels, restaurants and caterers with a wide range
of top quality products. Over the past 11 years the company has built
a reputation for personal service and reliability in sourcing, preparing
and timely delivery of meat products from the UK and around the world.

The business was founded in 1995 by directors Martin Blackwell and
John Kent. From the start their aim was to meet the demanding needs
of a progressive catering profession, specialising as a catering butcher
in offering an extensive, high quality product range coupled with a high
standard of service.

In our 10th anniversary year a modern purpose built plant was built at
Chappel in north Essex, fully conforming to stringent EU and UK food
hygiene standards. Direct Meats continues to invest in expanding
and improving facilities to supply a growing customer base.

Naturally, it took quite some time to source the best products. Today the
company is proud to deal with some of the finest producers not only in
the UK but across Europe and other parts of the world.

Niche poultry products such as corn fed chickens, guinea fowl and
poulet fumé are obtained direct from France. Charcuterie direct from Italy,
beef and lamb from Foyle Meats in Ireland ........ and, of course, Scotch
Premier Meats who impeccable pedigree speaks for itself, providing the
very finest consistent Scotch Beef available with full traceability.

Direct Meats’ pledge to customers is to provide the very best products to
