Our British Excellence range is procured from the finest livestock and sourced only from British farms and producers.
Only British produce that can consistently meet Direct Meats' high
specification will be included in the brand.
The majority of cattle used in the brand are selected from suckler
herds reared in East Anglia, using traditional animal welfare and
husbandry techniques. This is combined with barley feeding
to produce good fat coverage and marbling which enhances
succulence, taste and eating quality. All our British Excellence
beef has full traceability.
After slaughtering at a local abattoir the beef is naturally matured on the carcase at Direct Meats' in a strictly temperature
controlled environment for a minimum of 21 days before being
broken down into primals and graded by our quality assurance team to meet each customer's requirements.
