RESTAURANT COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER TO RAISE £18,000
FOR ACTION AGAINST HUNGER

Direct Meats donated the meats for the main course for the fifth 'Too Many Critics'
fundraising dinner in support of international humanitarian relief charity, where
£18,000 was raised for Action Against Hunger.

Taylor Scrutton (technical consultant) and Martyn Cox (director) in association with
Conran restaurants, demonstrated live meat cutting theatre at the four-day skill
city exhibition at the London Excel.

Stuart Gillies and team from Gordon Ramsay's Boxwood Restaurant in London visited
Direct Meats, this included a farm tour at the Marks Hall estate, Coggeshall, to view
Gloucester Old Spot pigs feeding naturally on acorns in the woods. Tour of Direct Meats
premises, meat cutting demonstrations and lunch at Micheal Roux’s White Hart Nayland.
