ACQUISITION OF KONE VALE OPPORTUNITY FOR GROWTH |

Specialist catering butcher Direct Meats (Knights Farm) is pleased to announce its acquisition of Kone Vale Produce of Sudbury, Suffolk, whose high quality portioned poultry products are held in high esteem within the poultry industry. Kone Vale's EU registered plant based at Middleton, near Sudbury, has been owned by the Goodwin family for many years and has been reluctantly sold by Graham Goodwin following a long spell of ill health. Direct Meats will be retaining the workforce there, and will continue marketing chicken products under the Kone Vale name. "Kone Vale has a fine reputation for quality poultry produce and will complement perfectly the high quality range of products with which Direct Meats is synonymous in the demanding catering industry;" says John Kent, Direct Meats director. "It is our intention to build on Kone's success and develop a more comprehensive range of exciting products" |
