Market Field School Transition Event

Chaz ( Technical Manager ) and Daryl ( Butchery Trainer ) attended the transitions event at Market Field School Colchester.

On the 24th October 2019, Market Field School hosted a transition event for local employers to showcase their companies to the bright and enthusiastic young people, to inspire career decisions.

Chaz ( Technical Manager ) and Daryl ( Butchery Trainer ) attended the transitions event at Market Field School Colchester.

Direct Meats were pleased to host a stand at the event, showcasing the brilliant career opportunities on offer at our company, from butchery apprentices to administrative positions, we helped to inspire the talented students of a few local schools for what there is on offer to them nearby and afar.

Both students and staff were pleased to see us there, and were keen to learn more about the business and operations. Claire, Employability and Work Experience Manager for Market Field School wrote the following:

Dear Chaz and Daryl,

Thank you so much for coming along to our transitions event and giving up your time to talk with our students, it is always very much appreciated, and I know your presence was very well received by students, parents and carers, as well as Gary Smith our Executive Head.

Thank you also for putting together such an informative pack for the event, which was very useful and showed your commitment to our students.

Seeing the letter one of your current employees mum’s had sent in to you also, was very moving and also very reassuring for parents/carers. Brilliant idea to include this.

Claire – Employability and Work Experience Manager at Market Field School.

The event was very insightful, and helped to provide opportunity to the local youth in terms of employment which for many was just around the corner!
